Joyce Earleen McKay, 76, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, January 20. She was born in Wright City, Oklahoma to LeRoy and Mae (Mullins) Rowe.

Joyce’s family moved to Sweet Home when she was a young child. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1959 and married Raymond L. McKay in June of that year.

Joyce had a successful career with the Sweet Home Forest Service for 18 years and received many awards for her work.

Joyce loved gardening, homemaking, shopping, and going to yard sales from which she created beautiful and useful items. She enjoyed traveling with her grandchildren and playing with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed many multi-family camping trips where she took her dogs out to find nature’s gifts.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 26, at Gilliland Cemetery. Immediately following, will be a Celebration of Life at 3243 Highway 20, Sweet Home, Oregon (Rick McKay Shop).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Joyce’s name to Safe Haven Humane Society.
