Joan Pellett, 72, of Alsea, Oregon passed away Friday, July 3. She was born in Nevada, Missouri to John and Ethel (Garland) Ritchey.

She liked gardening, growing roses, canning, bird feeding, and metal detecting. She also enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing card games with her husband, sister, Joyce, and brother-in-law, Ed. She loved camping and spending time with her family.

She is survived by: her husband, Jack Leroy Pellett of Alsea; sons Michael Pellett of Alsea, Ken Pellett of Philomath, Donald Pellett of Corvallis; daughter Kelly Neuman of Bend; sister Joyce and her husband, Ed Hildebrand; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at noon on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Alsea Cemetery in Alsea.
