Jerry Robert Fisher, 67, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday evening among loved ones after a long battle with dementia. He was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to John James and Frankie Maurine (Price) Fisher.

He grew up in the small town of Faith, South Dakota. Jerry received a mechanical engineering degree from the University of South Dakota School of Mines. Following college, he spent time working as an engineer in various parts of the country before settling in the Pacific Northwest. In 1998, he moved with his family to Sweet Home to focus on his property management business.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family and watching sports.

He is survived by his wife, Martha; sons Jeremy of Portland, Kelsey of West Linn, and Stacey of Sweet Home; daughters Hailey and Molly of Sweet Home; and siblings Randy Fisher, Dave Fisher, and Colette Theel of South Dakota, Melanie Stewart of Arizona, and Sherryl Short of Oregon.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, John James and Frankie Maurine Fisher.

Viewing and Rosary will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 26, at St. Helen Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., at Gilliland Cemetery.
