Jerry Lawrence Ross, 73, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, August 23, 2019. He was born in Poe Valley to Irvin Dayton and Gertrude (Wilson) Ross. He lived in Kingman, Arizona until October 1981, when he moved to Sweet Home.

Jerry worked for Linn County Road Department for 25 years. After retiring from the County, he worked for the Sweet Home School District for five years as a custodian at Foster Elementary and the District office.

He was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding horses. He was a member of Western Horseman of Oregon for 35 years.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Chris Ross, of Sweet Home; sons Chase Ross of Tillamook, Stormy Ross of Sweet Home, and Monty Ross of Arizona; daughters Ginger Ross of California, Faydra of Nevada, and Kimberly of California; sisters Phyllis and Jackie of Burns; a brother of Sweet Home; 14 grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, at Brownsville Pioneer Park. Please bring a dessert and memories to share.
