Jerry Eugene Edwards, 83, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was born in Jamesport, Missouri to Jonathan W. and Lydamae (Troxel) Edwards.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. His family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1945, then to Lebanon in 1950. After five years in Lebanon, they moved to Spokane, Washington until 1959, finally settling in Sweet Home.

James worked as a truck driver. He was a non-denominational Christian.

He enjoyed wood working and gardening.

James is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Edwards, of Sweet Home; son Mark Edwards of Lebanon; daughter Brenda Amsdon of Eagle River, Alaska; brother Norman Edwards of Lebanon; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonathan and Lyda Edwards; daughter Sheryl Edwards in 1959; and brother Harold Edwards in 2008.

A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 30, at Sweet Home Senior Center.
