Jennifer Joyce Majors, 38, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday, February 9. She was born in Boise, Idaho to Guy and Cindy (Hecht) Bowman.

Jennifer attended various schools in the Boise area before meeting her future husband who whisked her away to western Oregon. At 19, she moved to Bellfountain and became a permanent attendee of the Oregon Country Fair. Jennifer skipped around the mid-Willamette Valley for a few years and collected her GED from Linn-Benton Community College. to show her kids she could do it and they could too!

Jennifer married Allen Majors on September 9, 1999 at 3:33 p.m., in Bellfountain Park, 9 miles from the 99 mile marker on Hwy 99. In November 2004, they moved to her ‘dream town’ of Sweet Home, eventually buying property and settling in a permanent home for her family in 2009.

She had been a parent advocate for a Head Start preschool program and was often seen helping the breakfast crowd in the Hawthorne Elementary School cafeteria. ‘Mrs. Jennifer’ was very well liked by the students and faculty.

Jennifer loved collecting books, WWE, and BEAVER FOOTBALL! But not as much as she loved her family.

She survived for 22 years with HIV to be the cornerstone of her home and to care for all who relied on her, family and friends, alike. To say she will be missed is an understatement.

Jennifer is survived by: her husband, Allen Keith Majors of Sweet Home; sons, Andrew Bowman of Albany and Sarcon Majors of Sweet Home; daughter, Baillie Majors of Sweet Home; sisters, Tiffany Bowman of Sweet Home and Rhianon Floyd of Boise, Idaho; brother, Sean Bowman of Boise, Idaho; grandson, Gabriel Majors of Sweet Home; mother, Cindy Floyd of Nampa, Idaho; father, Guy Bowman of Salem Oregon; niece, Rayleen Bowman of Sweet Home; uncle and aunt, Gary and Diane Hecht of LaPine; great aunt, Barbara Rock of Portland; and a small assortment of cousins.
