Jason Edward Jerry Sarter, 21, formerly of Sweet Home and currently of Albany, Oregon, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 in an automobile accident between Lebanon and Albany.

Jason was born on November 9, 1994 in Lebanon, Oregon; the son of Paul and Misty (Vaughan) Sarter. He lived in Sweet Home most of his life and attended Hawthorn Elementary and Sweet Home High School. He graduated in 2013. Since then, he attended LBCC and worked at the Lowe’s Distribution Center.

Jason lived, ate, and slept basketball as his first love. He played in grade school and high school. Later he found love meeting his girlfriend, Jessica Wyatt. He volunteered at the Sweet Home Boys & Girls Club.

Jason is survived by his great grand parents, Charles and Mary Lou Vaughan, of Sweet Home; mom, Misty Sarter, of Lebanon; father, Paul Sarter, and stepmother, Tara, of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Gabriel, Dylan, Justin, Tyson, and Auston; grandmother in Alaska; grandmother in Arkansas; girlfriend, Jessica Wyatt; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Patricia.

There will be a 12:00, noon, burial Saturday, January 2, at Gilliland Cemetery with a 1:00 celebration of Jason’s life at Sweet Home Mennonite Church in Sweet Home, Oregon.
