Jim was born in Duke, Oklahoma to Birlie and Lola Peters. Jim was married to his loving wife, Rose, for the past 40 years.

At the age of 90, Jim peacefully passed away in Albany, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a mechanic by trade for 40 years and had a passion for farming. He loved to golf, fish, and was a champion card player who didn’t like to lose. Nothing made him happier to win at cards, which he did most of the time.

Jim was a good husband and provider who truly loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rose; sons Lynn and Ron Peters; daughers Dondra Jensen, Debra Chase, Jeanette Kropf, and Jeanna Cruz; step-children Debi Baker, Doug Willis, Teresa Zuercher, and Tina Brunker; brother Cecil Peters; and 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel with entombment to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum in Albany. Viewing will be from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m., before the service.
