Irene Jewel Kennedy, 85, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021. She was born in Portland to Clyde and Geraldine (Locee) Price.

She grew up in Cascadia and lived in Cascadia and Sweet Home most of her life.

She worked for the Sweet Home School District as a lunch lady at Hawthorne and Sweet Home Junior High for many years. She loved country music. She went to the Oregon Jamboree every year (pictured enjoying the Jamboree). Irene was instrumental in getting Hank Williams Jr. to come play at the Jamboree.

She is survived by her husband, William Kennedy, of Sweet Home; children Mike, Faron, Jennifer, and Chris Kennedy of Sweet Home; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
