Helen Louise Blakenship, age 82, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday at Twin Oaks Rehab. She was born in Hector, Arkansas to William A. and Martha (Luyellyn) Hill.
Helen married Boyd L. D. Blankenship December 6, 1945. They moved from Arkansas to Twin Rocks, Oregon in 1949 before moving to Sweet Home in 1961.

She enjoyed crocheting on pillow cases and made many quilts for family and friends. Cooking was a great joy to her and she was well known for her homemade bread and desserts. She loved to fish and go RV camping.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd; brothers, Thurman Hill and Bill Hill; and sisters, Dorthy Thornson and Edna Parks.
Viewing will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 24, at Harvest Christian. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Final burial will follow at Gilliland Cemetery.
