Harry Thomas Kelley, 78, of Sweet Home, Oregon died Thursday, February 21, 2019. He was born in Independence to Kedric and Marjorie June (Clem) Kelley.
He was raised in Crawfordsville most of his life. He went to Sweet Home High School.
Harry worked as a refrigeration engineer for King Crab in Kodiak and Dillingham, Alaska. He also worked for Peter Pan and Trident Seafoods in Sandpoint, Alaska. Additionally, he worked as a construction Millwright and was a Volunteer Fireman in Crawfordsville.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars, and taking trips. He loved to take rides to the coast with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was such a good papa and will be greatly missed.
Harry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie, of Sweet Home; children Tom Kelley, Shawn Kelley Rotenberger and her husband, Jay, of Crawfordsville; grandchildren Amanda Kelley, Alan “AJ” Cockrell, Natasha Smith, and Christopher Kelley; and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sisters Vail Brooks and Jeri Nousen, and infant daughter Rebecca.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, at Crawfordsville Community Church.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
