Harold K. Hanson, age 77, of Sweet Home, died Monday at a Corvallis Hospital.

Harold was born October 22, 1930 in Brunswick, Minnesota, son of August and Lydia Nordgren Hanson.

He served our country in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Suzanne Schroeder February 14, 1962 in Portland. In 1988 he moved to Sweet Home from Sacramento, CA. He worked as a cook most of his life. With his wife, he had a company called Happy Travelers, a tour company catering to seniors on different traveling excursions.

Harold enjoyed playing the accordion, was involved in his church and the Wiley Creek Community. He enjoyed bingo and was an avid football fan. He was a member of Highway 20 Church of Christ.

Hay Hay is survived by two step-sons, Terry Lewison and Daniel Schroeder, both of Sweet Home; a step-daughter, Marie Goss, Albany; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne.

Memorial service will be 2 PM Saturday, November 3rd at Wiley Creek Community Lodge. Private inurnment will be at Gilliland Cemetery, Sweet Home. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
