Gary Alan Rice, 56, of Foster, Oregon passed away peacefully on Saturday surrounded by family. He was born in Lebanon to Clinton Gale and Barbara Ann (Brendle) Rice.

Gary lived in Oregon all of his life. He worked at Sweet Home Safeway for over 40 years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed spending time with family, road trips, hot rods, and restoring old cars from nothing to something. Gary was proud of his pioneer heritage.

He is survived by: his wife, Patsy; parents, Clinton and Barbara Rice of Sweet Home; children, Kristi N. Rice and Clint A. Rice; four step children; 7-1/2 step grandchildren; two brothers; a sister; two brothers-in-law; a sister-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and one 1930 Model A Ford.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
