Eugene Thomas Koenig, 82, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Sunday, June 24. He was born in Winner, South Dakota to William and Laura (Davies) Koenig.

He married Carol Sue Nolin on August 1, 1981 in Lebanon, Oregon. He worked for Downing Ranch in Marcola for 29 years as a farmer and ranch hand. He lived in Sweet Home for the last eight years.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Carol, of Sweet Home; children Malinda Master of Alabama and Doreen Fechtel and Shawn Koenig of Springfield; siblings Grace Svatos of Charleston, Judy Hood of Florida, and Ron Koenig and Lavern Koenig of Minnesota; grandchildren Emily Porria, Matthew Ellard, and Zachory Fechtel of Springfield and Alexis Master of Florida.
