Elda Arlene Wacek, 88, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, June 8. She was born in Clara City, Minnesota to Harm and Leilemata (Bunkow) Kleene.

She was a member of St. Mary’s in Albany and St. Helen Catholic Church of Sweet Home. She lived in Alaska for nine years, Eugene for 20 years, Albany for 25 years, andSweet Home for the past 31 years.

Elda enjoyed cooking, making pies, sewing, camping, hunting, talking on the phone, and going to the Oregon State Fair.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley, of Sweet Home; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Elda was preceded in death by her husband, John; sons Dennis and Leslie; and one grandchild.

A viewing will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., also at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will take place at Lewis Cemetery.
