Elaine Mary Funk, 76, of Sweet Home passed away Friday. She was born in Buffalo, NY to Byron and Alice (O’Connell) Billings.

Elaine moved from Buffalo, NY to Sodaville at the age of 3. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. She worked as a Nanny for three boys in California, at canneries and then went to Beauty School and became a Beautician. She did in home care and also worked at Whites Electronics for 17 years.

She lived on the Oregon Coast but spent nearly all of her adult life in Sweet Home. She had two daughters while married to Dan Carlin of Sweet Home. She then married Dennis Funk in 1998.

Elaine was born loving horses. She loved to read, shop on the internet, watch sitcoms on TV and especially spending time with her family and dog Sasha.

She is survived by her husband Dennis L. Funk; daughters: Genice Holley Pearson, Lisa Carlin Erickson; step-daughters: Natasha Sue Funk, Bambi Jean Funk; grandchildren: Caitlen Holley, Bonnie Holley, Courtney Carlin, chance Holley, Carley Pearson, Cameron Pearson, Taylor Erickson, McKensie Parker, Kayla Parker, Jacob Richardson, Caleb Funk, Terryn McNew, Robbie Oar, Austin Oar; great granddaughter Dakota Sargent; great grandson Maverick on the way. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Byron and Alice Billings; and brother Robert Billings.
