Edward “Wayne” Jones, 79, of Sweet Home passed away Saturday. He was born in Idabel, Oklahoma to Raymond Jap and Julia Ann (Haley) Jones.

He moved to California as a young child from Idabel and then moved to Sweet Home in 1955. He has lived in the Sweet Home and Lebanon area since.

Edward worked in a plywood mill.

He had many friends that he hung out with and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Edward is survived by his son Tony W. Jones; daughter Trina D. Jones both of Sweet Home; brothers: Glen Jones of Albany, Ed Milligan of Virginia; sisters: Connie Weisbeck, Linda Gustufson, Glenda Stevens all of Albany; three granddaughters; one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his brothers: Leon Jones of California in 2020, Jim Jones of Roseburg in 2011; sisters: Bonnie Daniels of Waldport in 2014, Sandy Whipple of California in 1980.
