Earl Eugene Jones, 74, of Sweet Home, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
He was born July 28, 1951 to Betty Ruth (Byrd) and Gene Earl Jones in St. Louis, Missouri.

He was in the Marine Corps from 1969 to 1972, he earned a National Defense Service Medal, rifle sharpshooter and good conduct medals during Vietnam.

Butch lived in Missouri, California, South Carolina and came to Oregon in 1972. He worked as a warehouse supervisor.

He liked to golf, play softball and enjoyed watching college football.

Butch is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Jones of Sweet Home, son Earl Eugene Jones Jr of Sweet Home, daughter Stacy Jones of Asheville, North Carolina, brother Ronnie Jones of Quilcene, Washington, sisters Ruthie McClain of Bullhead City, Arizona, Darlene Townsend of Sweet Home, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Kenny Jones (2022), sister Beth Jones (2024).
