Dorothy Kuulei Morse, 76, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020. She was born in Waianae, Hawaii to Elias and Katherine (Lopes) Garcia, Sr.

Dorothy lived in Hawaii until 1986, Bethel Island, California until 1988, and Moses Lake, Washington until 2000 when she moved to Sweet Home.

Dorothy was a National Life Time Member of the SHVFW Auxiliary and was a chaplain for the VFW Ladies Auxiliary here in Sweet Home.

She loved Karaoke, dancing, and spending time with family.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ralph Morse; children Melissa (John) Efstathiou, Renee (Mykal) Hildebrand, Tammy (Benny) Mello, and Jerome Castrogiovanni; step-children Jimmy Morse and Debbie Swanson; siblings Walter Garcia, Raphael (Angie) Garcia, Sr., Leatrice Davis, John Garcia, April Garcia, Matthew Garcia, and Wilfred Garcia; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in 1989; mother in 2003; sister, Mary Wong, in 2016; brother, Tommy Garcia, in 2017; and step-son, Bobby Morse.

A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, at Sweet Home VFW.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy’s name to Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation “Cancer Care” fund in support of the Samaritan Pastega Regional Cancer Center.
