Doris “Gwen” Vanden Bos, 60, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Monday. She was born and raised in Sweet Home to John and Lois (Mullins) Harcrow. Her family and close friends called her “Sis.”
In 1974, Doris married Andrew Alan Vanden Bos. They moved to Lebanon where they raised their two sons. They moved back to Sweet Home in 2006.

Doris worked at White’s Electronics from 1972 to 1979.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her sisters. She loved being pampered and enjoyed having facials and pedicures. One of her hobbies was watching old black and white movies.

Doris is survived by: her husband of 40 years, Andrew Vanden Bos of Sweet Home; sons Seth and his wife Joy Vanden Bos of Lebanon, Brent Vanden Bos and his fiancée Elizabeth Oswald of Lebanon; siblings Earl and his wife Elaine Harcrow of Sweet Home, Patti Vandiver of Vancouver, Washington, Betty Webb of Sweet Home, Glenda (Dee) and her husband Mike Melcher of Sweet Home; grandchildren: Krystal, Jessica, Hannah, Logan and Hudson; great grandson Jamison; and her care provider, Tonya Tagen.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 29, at the IOOF Cemetery in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Doris’s name to the MS Foundation of Oregon.
