Donna “Jean” Taylor, 79, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, September 7, 2019. She was born in Walla Walla, Washington to Arthur Vern and Anna Helen (Dietzman) Russell.

Jean grew up in California and lived in Oregon most of her adult life.

She loved to sew and crochet. She crocheted a baby blanket for each of her grandchildren. She had a large collection of pens, and was an avid elephant collector. Her family brought her the most joy in her life.

Jean is survived by sons Jim Taylor of Cusseta, Alabama and Arthur Taylor of Springfield; daughters Velma Canfield of Sweet Home and Mary Crist of Eugene; sisters Patti Jensen of Santa Rosa and Sally Willert of Ozark, Missouri; brother Sonny Russell of St. Louis, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Taylor, in 1987; daughters Anna Avoskee and Norma Taylor; sons David Taylor and Darrell Taylor; granddaughter Amanda Spier; brother Bobby Russell; sisters Mary Russell and Dorothy Crisler; and her parents.

Her memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 13, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will be at Gilliland Cemetery.
