Donald Ray Whitlow, 72, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Tuesday, November 18. He was born in Briggsville, Arkansas to James Leon and Bessie Irene (Adamson) Whitlow.
Don joined the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1963. He lived most of his life in Arkansas, in Yell, Pope, Pliskey, and Saline Counties. Don moved to Oregon in October of this year to be near his family.
He was a long haul truck driver and affiliated with the VFW. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, woodworking, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by: his daughter, Donna Barbee and her husband Harold of Monmouth; son, Steve Whitlow and his wife Desiree of Sweet Home; daughter-in-law, Heather Lander of Salem; sisters, Lura and her husband Gerald Davis of Ola, Arkansas, Louise and her husband James Rogers of Danville, Arkansas, and Reda and her husband Dwight McConnell of Mt. George, Arkansas; brother, David and his wife Kathy Whitlow of Burta, Arkansas; grandchildren, Justin, Chris, Tracy, Michael, Alex, Jason, Jarrett, Brailey, and Eric; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Alana and Damien; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his spouses, Midge Whitlow (2013) and Kathy Whitlow (1997); son, Paul Whitlow (1987); infant brother, Johnny Whitlow; sister, Betty Muck; and parents, Lonnie and Irene Whitlow.
