Dixie Lee Maddox, 91, of Sweet Home passed away in Albany, Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was born October 31, 1934 to June (Lancaster) and Lawrence Renne in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

She married Elton L. Rinehart, they lived in Myrtle Creek for many years and later divorced. In 1983, she married Warren Maddox in Canyonville and moved to Sweet Home in 1990.

Dixie worked as a CNA for several families over the years and retired in 2014. She loved to work and care for her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy G. Bonham of Eugene, step daughter Florence Gonzalez; sister Janice Heffner of Bend, brother Dennis Renne of Idaho; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Daniel L. Rinehart (2014), her husband Warren Maddox (2017), her son Gerald “Gary” Rinehart (2022), siblings: Marvin Renne, Darlene Hendrickson.
