Diane Keenon-Grant, 74, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, November 24. She was born in Wright City, Oklahoma to William J. and Betty (Gaskey-Maxon) Brodie. Diana lived in Wright City, Oklahoma until her family moved to Sweet Home in 1949.

Diana worked at Safeway in Sweet Home for 22 years, and then transferred to Safeway in Lebanon and worked there for seven more years until her retirement in 2005.

She loved working and gardening in her yard. She enjoyed hunting and camping with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed taking historical vacations and going on cruises with her family and friends.

When it was time to relax, she would sit down in her chair and knit. She also loved to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they always put a smile on her face.

Diane is survived by her husband, Tom Grant Jr. (Smokey), of Sweet Home; children Karri Shipp of Springfield and Rhonda and her husband, Mark Thedford, of Sweet Home; siblings Evelyn Maynard of Sweet Home and Jim and his wife, Toni Brodie, of Toledo; grandchildren Cody Shipp of Miami Beach, Florida, Trevor Shipp of Sweet Home, Brittany Dearborn of Sweet Home, and Myranda Shipp of Springfield.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Keenon, in 1986; daughter Teresa Keenon in 1965; mother Betty in 2012; step-father Larry Maxon in 1986; and father William J. Brodie in 1995.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
