David Steven Wamsley, Sr., 73, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Saturday, October 17. He was born in San Diego, California to Ernest Edgar and Verna (Gowlovech) Wamsley.

He grew up in San Diego, and then lived in Hesperia, California for 10 years. He moved to Lebanon in 1988, then to Sweet Home five years ago.

David served in the United States Army in Vietnam.

He was a loving father and a very generous person. He will be missed.

David is survived by: children Fonda Marshall of Pixley, California, Ann Wood of Hesperia, California, Willard W. Wood of Sweet Home, and David Steven Wamsley II of Sweet Home; brother Virgil Wamsley of Ashland; 10 grandchildren and many great and great, great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Wamsley, and granddaughter, Kayla L. Wood.
