David Blalock, 73, of Cascadia, Oregon passed away Saturday, November 14. He was born in Lee Heights, Louisiana to Paul Joseph and Mildred (Hutzler) Blalock. He raised in Alexandria, Louisiana. He moved to Stockton, California in 1965 and retired in Cascadia in 1992.

David was a Project Manager/Cost Engineer for Pacific Gas & Electric Company in California. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sweet Home and served as Active Member Volunteer Fire Dept. out of Sweet Home.

David married his wife, Lowene, on August 21, 1993. He enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, yard sales, reading, gardening, mushrooming, and maintaining their mountain log home and property.

He is survived by: his wife, Lowene, of Cascadia; daughters Michelle Bentz of Sonora, California, Pamela Souza of Rocklin, California, and Paula Luque of Pittsburg, California; son Bill Blalock of Mountain Home, Idaho; and brothers Paul, John, Michael, Jimmy, Tommy, Mark, and Chuck, all living in various parishes in Louisiana. David and Lowene had eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his son, David Miller Blalock, Jr., and sister, Mary Ann.

Viewing will be at 12:00, noon, Wednesday, November 18. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m., at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will take place at Lewis Cemetery following the service.
