David Joseph McGirl, 43, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Friday, July 19. He was born in Denver, Colorado to Karl L. and JoAnn (Ferguson) McGirl.

He grew up in the Denver and Westminster Colorado area. In 2001, he moved to Corvallis, where he lived until he moved to Sweet Home in 2018.

David was a welder in his early career, then decided to study Information Technology. He worked in a variety of IT areas, including black box testing, network administration, and as an IT administrator.

David was raised in the Catholic Church and was a Mason. He enjoyed gaming, fishing, and motorcycle riding.

He is survived by his children, Damien J. McGirl and Madison J. McGirl, and ex-wife, Linda A. McGirl, all of Corvallis; mother, JoAnn McGirl, of Stephenville, Texas; and brother, Michael McGirl, of Stephenville, Texas.
