David D. Allen, 63, of Sweet Home died on Monday, May 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on October 13, 1948 to William Allen and Iola Henderson-Searles in Lebanon, Oregon. He graduated from Lebanon Union High School.

David married Nancy Hill, in 1976, in Gold Beach, Oregon. They lived mostly in the valley areas of Oregon raising their family. In the 1990s, they moved down to Nevada only to return to Oregon in 2000.

David worked with disabled individuals as a caregiver. He loved to travel and go on cruises. He was also happy with just a quick trip to the beach with family or friends. He loved his pets.

Barbequeing was his number one passion. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and cooking shows. He was a member of Community Chapel on Ames Creek.

David is survived by: his wife, Nancy; children, RaNee Osborne, Raqual “Kelli” Fritz, Melissa Benedict, Angelia Baldwin, Thomas Allen, and Nathaniel Allen; brother, Michael Searles; sister, Janice Abernathy; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be at Community Chapel in Sweet Home at a later date.
