Darlene Anice McDaniel, age 53, of Sweet Home passed away Thursday. She was born in Stockton, California to Clifford O. and Mildred Bernice (Bobo) Everett. She lived in Sweet Home for the past eight years.

She loved Oregon and all the trees. She loved flowers and frogs. She surrounded herself with flowers and enjoyed keeping things clean. She was a strong believer in Jesus and prayer.

Darlene is survived by her children, Michelle Beatty of San Jose, California, Robert Taylor of Albany, Shirley Taylor of Albany, Colt McDaniel of Brownsville, Shane McDaniel of Sweet Home, and Christy McDaniel of Sweet Home; grandsons, Charlie McDaniel of Brownsville and Orlando Taylor; and siblings, Stan Everett of Sweet Home and Greg Everett of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie McDaniel, in 2006.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 12, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will be at Lewis Cemetery.
