Daniel Eugene Gibbs, 59, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday, May 4. He was born in Salem, Missouri to Woodrow and Flossie Gibbs. His family moved to Sweet Home in 1960 where Daniel finished school.

Daniel worked for Cascade Timber and other logging companies. He enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Terry Gibbs, of Sweet Home; children Jennifer Taylor of Vero Beach, Florida and Tina Gibbs of Gold Hill; siblings David and Gregory Gibbs of Sweet Home and Junita May and Janice Miner of LaPine; and five grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by siblings Donald (1994), James (2013), Winfred (1967), and Joyce Partch (1978).

Viewing will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 9, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, at Gilliland Cemetery.
