Dale Klinner, 66, of Flint, Texas and Sweet Home, passed away February 7, 2011 in Tyler, Texas. Dale was born July 3, 1944 in Portland, Oregon to Leo and Joyce ( Thompson) Klinner. He served in the Army and was the owner of D & N Grocery in Tyler, Texas.

Survivors include: his wife, Nevella Klinner; children, Ken Klinner, Rodney Dangler, Steven Dangler, Tim Klinner, Kristina Griffin, Lora Slaughter, and Debra Taramona; father, Leo Klinner; brothers, Gary Klinner and Jim Klinner; sister, Lila Hilfiker; nineteen grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Thompson Klinner, and a brother, Wayne Klinner.

A viewing will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 75701.
