A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, at First Baptist Church of Brownsville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 19, at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary in Lancaster, California. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Claricy’s memory to a charity of your choice.

Claricy Arminta McCormack, age 91, of Sweet Home went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Monday.

Claricy was born in Sulphur Springs, Oklahoma to George T. and Nancy B. (Johnson) Brinley. Her family moved to California in 1936.

After retirement, in the 1970s, she and her husband lived in Idaho. She then moved back to California in 1983 following the death of her husband. In 2001, she moved to Crawfordsville to live with her daughter, JoAnne.

Claricy attended First Baptist Church of Brownsville. She liked gardening, but her family was her life.

Claricy is survived by daughter, JoAnne Feckner of Crawfordsville; son, Odis B. McCormack of Owasso, Oklahoma; sisters, Arvilla White, Mildred Hientz, Goldie Stewart, and Charlsie Brinley; grandchildren, Karen Joiner, David Santino, Dennis Santino, David McCormack, Douglas McCormack, Daryl McCormack, and Deanna McClure; 11 great grandchildren; eight great, great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, “Jack” Ernest B. McCormack; infant son, Clifford G. McCormack; brothers, Joseph, Odis, and George; and grandchildren, Gary and Mary Santino.
