Clara Kennedy, 71, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Wednesday, May 18. She was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Colbie and Mamie Aline (Kirby) Burdine.

Clara married Gerald Kennedy on May 16, 1962 in Caruthers, California. They continued living in California until moving to Sweet Home in 1976.

Clara enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, arts, crafts, and painting. She loved bowling with her family.

She was a volunteer at Gleaners and a member of the Sweet Home Church of Christ on 37th and Long Street.

Clara is survived by her husband, Gerald Kennedy; children Darick Kennedy, Helen (Kennedy) Ramsdell, and Darin Kennedy; nine grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; sister, Rose Weepy; and great grandson, Colby Ramsdell.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, at 37th and Long Church of Christ in Sweet Home. Potluck will follow service.
