Charles Lenard Harrington, 75, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday. He was born in Maroa, Illinois to Harold Lenard and Effie Myrtle (VanHorn) Harrington.

Charles lived his younger years in Illinois, including Maroa, Clinton, Chestnut and Decatur. He moved to Sweet Home in 1981 then to Fort Rock from 2001 to 2014 when he returned to Sweet Home. Charles was a member of the Sons of AMVETS local post 3437.

He was a mechanic and loved working on cars. He worked for Revere Copper and Brass and then Champion Lumber Mill in Lebanon. Charles was a Christian.

He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends.

Charles is survived by his ex-wife, best friend and roommate, Molinda Harrington; children: Carl Harrington, Harold Harrington, Tina Goss, Tabatha Harrington Shaw, Amy Harrington all of Sweet Home, and Jamie Harrington of Lebanon; step-children: Connie Jenkins of Enterprise, Donea Phipps of Bend, and Roland Phipps of Salem; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Harrington in 2013; son, Charles L Harrington Jr. in 1972; father, Harold L. Harrington in 1975; mother, Effie M. Harrington in 1979; sisters: Florence Prackle in 2003 and Evelyn Harrington in 1983.
