Charlene Gay Hampton, 69, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday. She was born in Sumner, Nebraska to Charlie and Esther(Winston) Potter.

She lived in Sumner, Nebraska, McMinnville, Dayton, Lafayette, and Sweet Home, Oregon. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Charlene enjoyed fishing, pinocle, and playing guitar and accordion. She loved to dance when she was younger.

She is survived by: her husband of 54 years, Ray Hampton SR of Sweet Home; children, Ray Hampton JR, Keven Hampton, and Shannon Hampton; grandchildren, Daniel, Donny, and David Smith of Albany, Chant’e, Cathy, and Charlene Hampton of Montana, Shauna Ray Hampton of Sweet Home, and Autumn Hampton of Albany; and five great grandchildren.
