There will be a Celebration of Life gathering and potluck at 2:00 pm Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Sankey Park. A benefit concert will take place Sunday, April 28, at 5:00 pm with music starting at 6:00 pm at VFW Hall with a $5.00 suggested donation to help the family with funeral costs.
Chad Ray Macy, 31, of Cascadia, Oregon passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013. He was born in Corvallis to Daulton Ray Moss and Leona (Macy) Williams.
He lived in Monroe, Corvallis, Texas, Yachats, Sisters, and Sweet Home.
Chad was an initial attack wildland fire fighter. He worked for Highland Forest Products in Holly and was a sports car transporter. Chad logged for the McCollum, Pentagore, and Staley logging companies. He worked for Triple T Mill in Cascadia. He also set up manufactured homes for Pruit Company.
He had a passion for many things; playing with his daughters and playing guitar. He also loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gold panning with his dogs and family. Chad enjoyed picking chantrelle mushrooms in the mountains. He loved animals and just being with nature. Chad loved his Native American Indian heritage and learning about it through participating in annual Pow Wow events and from his Aunty Ginger. He created Native American arrowheads, dream catchers, and obsidian knives, and then sold them at American Family Video.
Chad is survived by: his daughters, Mchalya Pauls and Trinity Seber of Sweet Home; parents, Leona and Woody Williams of Sweet Home and Daulton Moss and Cynthia Hayes of Bethel, AK; brother, Clinton Williams of Sweet Home; sisters, Jaime Pierce of Helena, Montana, Jodi Cheshire of Sweet Home, and Jana Williams of Corvallis; maternal grandparents, Agnes and Dennis Hagquest of Albany and Don and Lee Macy of Prineville; Uncle Mike Janisse and Aunty Ginger St. Clair-Janisse of Eugene; Aunt Teresa Bass of Corvallis; Uncle Oliver and Aunt Susan St. Clair of Montana; Uncle Ed and Aunt Tandy of Sweet Home; Uncle Jeff and Aunt Connie Jenks of Alpine; cousins, Dan and Jenni Janisse, Casey, Owen, and Liam Janisse, all of Eugene, Doug Spraston, Jr., of Portland, Heather Williams of Sweet Home, Bambie Jenks and Alisha and Edgar Mesa of Alpine, Mike Doty, Ryan Doty, and Chase Doty of Corvallis; Grandpa Glen Richey of Montana; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his brother, Shane Oliver Macy; grandma, Carol St. Clair Richey; Aunt Jerri-Ann Moss; grandparents, Carolynn and Jack Williams; great grandparents, Oliver and Faye Mason; great grandma, Monica Brown; great grandpa, Roy Tate; cousin, Rich Hardy.
