Bruce Edward Weir, 69, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday, September 1, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1955, to Aubrey Eugene and Bobby Jean (Hansbrough) Weir in Evansville, Indiana.

He served in the Army from June 1973 to February 1975 earning a National Defense Service Metal.

In 1980 he moved to Sweet Home from Indianapolis, Indiana. Bruce worked as an optician at Sterling Vision. He attended Hillview Baptist Church in Springfield, Oregon.

Bruce liked to hunt, fish, and go camping. He also enjoyed reading.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne Weir of Sweet Home; his children Jason Weir and Gary Weir both of Springfield, grandchildren: Tristan, Sean, Madison and Donovan.

A memorial service will be 1 pm, Saturday, September 21st at Hillview Baptist Church, 725 S. 42nd St. Springfield, Oregon 97478. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
