Brenda Jean Collins, 56, of Albany, Oregon passed away Monday, August 3, 2020. She was born in Eureka, California to James William and Marion Alice (Leach) Kirkland.

When Brenda was four years old, her family moved to Brownsville briefly and then to Crawfordsville in 1969. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1982 and attended Linn-Benton Community College. She lived in Albany since 1997.

Brenda worked for Landmark Seed Company, Scotts Turf Company, and Barenbrug Seed Company in Albany.

She enjoyed travel, camping, kayaking, water sports, sewing, and cooking. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 21 years, Terry S. Collins, of Albany; children: Kendra and husband Caleb Reeser of Shedd, Dustin Childers of Crawfordsville, Kara Collins of Albany, Stephanie and husband Richard Mallett of LaPine; sister Rene Kirkland of Bend; brother Todd and wife Nikki Kirkland of Gold Beach; grandfather Vernon Leach of Reedsport; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 17, at Community Chapel Outdoor Amphitheater; 42250 Ames Creek Rd., Sweet Home, Oregon. Memorial contributions can be made in Brenda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
