Beverly Jean Kelly, 79, of Portland, Oregon, long-time resident of Sweet Home, passed away Sunday, May 22, at the Adventist Medical Center in Portland. She was born in Tracy, Minnesota to Melvin and Velma (Vanderlinden) Pletten.

For the last several years, she has resided in Portland with her youngest daughter, and was cared for by family.

It is with great difficulty that we say goodbye to this amazing woman, as she was such an integral part of our lives. Family meant everything to her. Please know that we love you, Mom, and you will forever be in our hearts.

She is survived by four of her five children: Richard Johnson, Julie Hunter, Jeanie Frazier, and Beth Sather; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She will be buried at the Lewis Cemetery in Sweet Home where her other son, Bryon, has been waiting for her since 1973.

A viewing will be from 11:00 a.m., to 12:45 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, with the funeral following at 1:00 p.m., at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Final burial will be at Lewis Cemetery.
