Betty Jo Maxon, 88, of Sweet Home passed away Sunday. She was born in Wright City, Oklahoma to Lawrence and Pearl (Hunnicutt) Gaskey.

She has lived in Sweet Home from 1948 until her passing. She loved quilting, gardening, embroidery, and family gatherings.

Betty is survived by: children, Evelyn (and her husband, Jim) Maynard of Sweet Home, Diane (and her husband, Smokey) Grant of Sweet Home, and Jim (and his wife, Toni) Brodie of Newport; brother, Buck Gaskey of Mandeville, Louisanna; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Larry Maxon; four sisters; and two brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Gilliland Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
