Barbara Jean Whipple, 83, of of Lebanon, Oregon passed away Saturday, June 27, 2020. She was born May 16, 1937 in Eugene, the daughter of Paul James and Elsie Louise (Lucier) Baker.

Barbara lived in in many places, but she loved Oregon the best. She settled in Lebanon in 1979.

She worked various places thoughout her life. The one job she loved above all the others was fire watching. She loved being in the woods.

She loved traveling the back roads, camping, fishing and cooking over an open fire. She also enjoyed shopping, sewing and crocheting. Most of all spending time with family and friends. All this created wonderful memories.

She is survived by husband, Dan E. Whipple; children, Twyla M. Heffron, Timothy D. Starr, Stevana M. Russell, Kevin G. Starr, Mark A. McAlpine, and Teresa L. Gregory; siblings, Thomas Baker and Sharon Miller; 20 grandchildren. Those closest to her include Kathee L. Sanders, Kayla L. Harding, Jerrod P. Gregory, Andrew P. Gregory, Lyndee A. Tipon and Teah M. Lance; 45 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother, James Baker; and two sons, Carl Wesley Starr Jr. and Darold Starr.

There will be a Celebration of Life at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 25th, at Waterloo Park. A potluck lunch will follow.
