Alfred Moore Hixson, Jr., 86, of Albany, Oregon passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019. He was born in Hiawatha, Kansas to Alfred Moore, Sr., and Hazel (Brim) Hixson.

Alfred served in the United States Army from February 26, 1953 to February 11, 1955.

He lived in Kansas, Arizona, and Oregon. He worked in food distribution delivering bread.

Alfred married Janice Ann Pynch in Reno, Nevada on July 11, 1978.

He is a member of VFW in Arizona. He was a former Legion and Moose member. He enjoyed playing golf and horse shoes.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Janice Hixson, of Albany; children Mitchell Hixson, Michelle Hixson, and Michael Hixson of Albany, Melinda Hixson of Lebanon; step-children Paul Heisinger of Albany, Teresa Cox of Salem, Sandra Mah of Albany, Gregory Heisinger of Portland, Phillip Heisinger of California, and Jacquelyn Heisinger of Washington; 27 grandchildren; and more than 50 great-grandchildren.
