William “Bill” John Myhre, 94, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday. He was born in Theony, Montana to John Albert and Mary Marie (Risser) Myhre. He lived in Whitefish, Montana.

His wife, Ruth, passed away in 1992. William married Naomi on February 2, 1995. She died in 2005.

Bill retired from Pacific Power after many years of employment. He moved to Oregon in the mid 1980s and settled in Sweet Home. He and his wife spent their winters in Yuma, Arizona.

Bill was always handy.He built his first three houses in Montana. He enjoyed tinkering and keeping his yard maintained.

He is survived by: his daughter, Jerry Royce of Bothel, Washington; many nieces and nephews; and two grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by: wives, Ruth and Naomi; sisters, Alice Rueb and Lillian Brown; and brother, Clarence Myhre.

A public viewing will be held Monday, August 6, 2012 from 10:00 a.m., to 12:00 noon at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Union Cemetery in Crawfordsville, Oregon.

Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet Home Funeral Chapel.
