Timothy Wade Carter, 50, of Astoria passed away at Providence Seaside Hospital on Monday. He was born in Lebanon, Oregon to Delbert E. and Joan M. (Hess) Carter.

He attended schools in the Sweet Home area and graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1977. Tim met and dated his future wife, Deborah Ann Volkers, while in high school. They married October 27, 1979. Tim’s work took them to Warrenton, Oregon in 1998. He was a licensed electrician and maintenance superintendent for Weyerhaeuser. Tim worked 32 years in mills and enjoyed working.

Tim enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and casinos and was a skilled trumpet player and drummer. He had a beautiful singing voice.

He just restored a 1967 Chevy II. Tim earned a black belt in taekwando and received many acknowledgments and trophies. He enjoyed family time and loved his grandchildren, the light of his life.

Tim is survived by: his wife, Deborah; daughter, Amanda D. and husband Chris Oseguera of Warrenton, Oregon; son, Matthew Carter of Astoria, Oregon; father, Delbert of McCook, Nebraska; mother, Joan of Prineville, Oregon; sisters, Cindy Dodson of Mortan, Washington and Cheri Hansen of Redmond, Oregon; brother, Todd Carter of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Nathaniel, Natalie, and Alyssa Oseguera; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Douglas Eugene Carter.
