Thomas V. Walker, Jr., ( “Toad”), age 76, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2007. He was born on November 21, 1930 in Sligo, Missouri to Thomas V. and Rita J. (Chambers) Walker, Sr.

Thomas came to Sweet Home in 1932. He served in the United States Army as a young man. He worked as a supervisor at Willamette Industries, retiring in 1988.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and snowbirding.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of 55 years; daughter, Karen Olson of Lebanon; sons, Jeff of Albany, Tom and Stan of Lebanon, and Tim of Sweet Home; sisters, Artie Wodtli of Albany, Lucile Loux of Sweet Home, and Louise Maxwell of Tacoma, WA; brothers, Bill of Montrose, CO and Bob and Melvin of Sweet Home; 16 grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

No service is planned at this time. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling services. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
