Teresa Renee Owens, 62, of Sweet Home passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was born on September 12, 1961, to George and Delores (Payne) Green in Seattle, Washington.

She lived in Kirkland, Washington from 1961 to 1978, she moved to Eugene in 1978, she then moved to Sweet Home in 2012 until her death.

Teresa liked working in the garden, cooking, and attempting some arts and crafts. She had a passion for online shopping some for herself but mostly for her nieces, nephews and great-nieces Heather and Audrey. Teresa and Merle enjoyed cooking and taking food to the homeless. She loved the Cowboy Church. She helped take care of Grandma Green, Aunt Carmen and her mother.

She is survived by her siblings: Laura Green of Sweet Home, Michael Green of Monroe, Washington, Idella Davis of Snohomish, Washington; best friend Debbie Jensen of Sweet Home; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins. Preceded in death by her parents: Delores Green (2014) George Green (2024); husband Merle Owens (2012); twins Michael and Mitchell Owens (1984); older brother Milton Green.

A memorial service will be 2 pm, Saturday, July 13th at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. Contributions/donations can be made to the Sweet Home Gleaners, or St. Vincent. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com.
