Raymond Alan Kent, 52, of Sweet Home, Oregon passed away Thursday. He as born in Lebanon to Max and Sheila Jean (Bailey) Kent.
He lived in Sweet Home his entire life. He worked as a carpenter and was good at many things — a real handy man. He wanted things done to perfection
Ray had a great love for children and taught his nephew, Seth, from Texas to fish, and also took his friends’ children fishing or for a drive in the woods.
He loved camping, hunting, and fishing and just taking a drive in the woods to spend several hours enjoying God’s beauty. He knew the Lord personally and would never deny it Occasionally, he would bring his mom home flowers he picked in the woods.
He mounted several elk horns and had a special elk horn (a huge half of one) which he planned to make into a cribbage board.
Raymond is survived by: his mother, Sheila Kent; brothers Larry and Duane Kent; sisters Jon Collins and Sandra and her husband Randy Allen; and twelve nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Max Kent, in 2005 and his brother, Gary Kent, in 2003.
A memorial service is planned for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014 at River of Life Church.
