Penny Marie Gaylord, 78, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday in Albany. She was born in Vallejo, California to Walter and Mae (Self) Still.

Penny moved to Portland, OR from Sacramento, CA in 1965 with her first husband, Tom Jennings. They lived in the Milwaukie and Portland, OR area between 1966-1969 buying their first home in Beavercreek, OR and residing there until 1972. In 1973 Penny married Earl Seward and they bought their first home together in Sweet Home, OR raising six children together. Penny met and married Edward Gaylord in 1998 and they took a short amount of time to travel and enjoy each other’s company before selling their home in Sweet Home and moving to La Pine, OR for a couple of years and then to Lebanon, OR for a couple of years. She then moved back and forth between Oregon and Florida with a short stay to build a house in Missouri with Edward.

Penny was a member of TOPS weight loss and support club 1966-1980. She enjoyed traveling, home rebuild and renovation, BBQing and playing cards with friends.
She was a bartender, bouncer and bookkeeper for Vic’s Tavern in Milwaukie, OR for ten years. After being baptized in Christ became a church secretary for Assembly of God Church, bookkeeper for Sweet Home Bookkeeping and finally the City Recorder and Clerk for the City of Sodaville.
Penny is survived by her husband, Edward Gaylord; step sons: Russ Gaylord and his wife Dee, Ron Gaylord and his wife Connie; biological children, daughters: Lorri Roberts and her husband Donnie, Michaelle Hoffman and her husband Allen; sons: Tom Jennings and his wife Penny, John Jennings and his wife Angie, Robert Jennings and his wife Kim, Michael Jennings and his wife Andrea; thirty-four grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Father, Walter Still; mother Mae Still; and husbands: Tom Jennings, Earl Seward; their stepchildren: Helen Simpson, Roxey Tripp and Steve Newsome; stepson Jeff Gaylord; and step grandson Donny Roberts.
