On October 31, 2024, Paul Gregg Ingram, loving husband and father, passed away at age 88, with faith in Jesus as his Savior.
Paul was born on June 5, 1936 in Baker City, Oregon to Stanley and Adria (Brinton) Ingram. While attending Oregon State University, Paul met, and later married, Nina Anne Krell. Paul received a BS in Wildlife Science from OSU. Paul worked for the Oregon Fish Department, and then Oregon Fish and Wildlife, for 30 years. In 1968, Paul moved to Sweet Home and would remain until his passing.
Paul was married to Nina for 42 years before she preceded him in death. Paul would later be remarried to Amy Dietz of Salem.
Paul loved skiing, hunting, building homes, flying and racing cars, but his biggest passion was old cars. As a young man attending OIT, he hot rodded his 1933 Ford Vicky. Later he would decide to un-hotrod his 1933 Vicky and had to reclaim the original car parts from the sagebrush in Haines, OR. Paul loved to attend all car swap meets and could always be found, rain or shine, at the Portland Swap Meet. Paul was gregarious, if he wasn’t at a swap meet talking cars you could find him at the Skyline having lunch with his friends. Church, cars, skiing, work, volunteering or eating food were good reasons to pursue what he loved – the people in his life.
Paul is survived by his children: Jayne Coughlin of Boring, Michael and wife Sherrie Ingram of Sweet Home; grandchildren: Madison and husband Jose’ Damian, Victoria, Adria, and Jacob Ingram; great-grandchildren Santiago and Lola Damian. He was preceded in death by his wife Nina, his parents, and his brother Eric.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 14th, at Community Chapel, 42250 Ames Creek Road, Sweet Home, OR 97386. Private burial will be held in Baker, OR. Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements. www.sweethomefuneral.com
