Patricia Ann Malby, 81, of Sweet Home passed away Tuesday. She was born in Geneva, Wisconsin to Clifford and Wilma (Gall) Costello.

Pat came to Oregon in 1961 and lived in the Scio area a year before moving to Berlin. In 1972, she moved to the Scott Mountain area of Sweet Home where she made her home. Pat enjoyed working with the disabled and worked at the Springer House Group Home more than a decade. She retired in 2005.

Pat’s hobbies included coin collecting, playing cards, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. She enjoyed going for long rides on ATVs. She owned horses and she loved riding them in her younger days.

Patricia is survived by: her sons, Robert and wife Rhonda Miller of Sweet Home and Mike and wife Laura Malby of Green Bay, Wisconsin; daughter, Sue and husband Steve Allard of Scio; seven grandchildren; and many great and great, great grandchldren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, John Malby (2000); son, John R. Malby (2004); and brother, Charles Costello (1986).

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, at Highway 20 Church of Christ. Contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House, 4600 Evergreen Place, Albany, Oregon 97321.
